so i just tweeted this, and i'm blogging it too..just because i think its such a good quote and i want to (i probably will anyway) remember it for the rest of my life.
There are 3 things you need in life : Something to do, someone to love, and something to look forward to.My friend Anetka was just over at my place. we had a glass of wine (fine..a bottle), and just sat down and talked for like 3 hours? I love that girl. She's just as real as a person can get..and i feel so comfortable being with her even though we're from completely different worlds (she's from czech republic). But anyway she told me the above quote tonight, and i realised how bloody true it is! What i love about the abovementioned quote is that it's not future oriented. it's all about the present. at EVERY point in time in your life, you should have one thing to do,someone to love, and something to look forward to. This makes it less of a goal, and more of a process one goes through to be happy in life. so really... i think its an awesome thing to live by, and its something that will help you through life in during the worst of times. Because, let's face it. It's only a matter of time before you get to the other side of the tunnel, and those 3 things are what made the cold and dark train ride bearable all along.

When autumn has set in over the garden
Why speak of the springtime of flowers?
When shadows of adversity hang over the present,
Why harp on the pomp and glory of the past?
Yes, these are things to forget; but how can you with
The dawn forget the scene of the night before?
The assembly has just dispersed;
The smoke is still rising from the burnt candle;
The footprints on the sands of India still say
A graceful caravan has passed this way.
I'm not too sure who wrote this poem, but i think Nostalgia is something we can all relate to. and i just love how this is written.
