christmas was good. went for mass in the morning, visited my grandmother and then went to my aunty debbie's house for lunch. in the evening, headed to my other aunty's house for dinner. wasn't much, but at least it was better than the year before.
so i've been super super jet lagged. just when i get used to the london timing, i come back to singapore and start jet-lagging again. annoying.
that last entry was pretty long. oh well. i don't blog much,so it makes us for that. school's about to start. i'm not really lookin forward to it, other than the fact that i'll be able to see my JY etcs, homies and all the rest. worse of all, its A level year. 2007's not even here yet, but i'm scared. really really scared.

i'm back from london!
it's such an amazingly cold but wonderful country. i really really had a blast there. best part of all was the fact that it was only me and my brother kiran, so our parents weren't there to bug the crap out of us (excluding the 2 days my dad was there cuz of his flight)
it was kinda wierd though. having to leave the house wearing 3 layers of clothes and gloves. watching the sky get dark at only 3.30pm. also, due to severe jet lag, i kept waking up at 6 ot 7am but falling asleep by 7pm. nevertheless. it was fun.
so this is pretty much what the week was like.
16th dec - left s'pore at 12 pm. (s'pore time)
- arrived in heathrow airport at 6 pm(london time)
the flight was about 13 hours long but it was good. i love long flights! watched 'little miss sunshine', 'chicago', 'step up' and about 4 episodes of 'two and a half men'. my dad's friends uncle richard, and aunty maddie picked us up and brought us to their place, where we stayed throughout the trip. it was really nice. and the food there was really great cuz the uncle's a really good cook!
17th dec (sunday) - visited the main sites. buckingham palace, big ben, tower bridge, trafalgar square etc. we were on this hop on hop off bus that took us all over the place.
18th dec (monday) - went to madam tussads' wax museum. some of the wax figures looked super realistic!!!! then headed down to the tower of london. really pretty medievil looking castle. but it was interesting!! my dad arrived in london since he had a flight there so we met him for dinner.
19th dec (tuesday) - went to hyde park and oxford street with dad but didn't do any actual shopping. then we went back to his hotel, slept for a while, and headed back to uncle richard's house to watch the liverpool vs arsenal match. haha. hear this. my brother and i intially wanted to go for that match BUT the tickets were kinda sold out. so when i woke up and looked outside the window, the fog was so bad i couldn't see past 200m. the first that came to my mind was, 'how's the liverpool match gonna be played in this fog?' and then i realised, that liverpool was miles away from london, so it wouldn't matter. when we sit down to watch the match on tv, they announce that the bloody match was postponed due to the stupid fog! blooody hell. but thank goodness i didn't get any tickets. i would have just killed myself if i went all the way to anfield but no match was played.
20th dec (wednesday) stayed over at my dad's hotel. went for breakfast in the morning, and then went to richmond, this really quiet and pretty village-y lookin place. then took the traindown to fulham street where we visited... stamford bridge. what were 3 liverpool fans doing at that place, i have no idea. but we just thought we'd visit it since we were nearby. besides i had to get something for my darling vanessa kemp. but it was still interesting, listening to my brother insult every chelsea player infront of all the fans who were visiting the stadium as well.
21st dec (thursday) best day of me trip. why? because i went to the holy ground of ANFIELD!!!!!!!! bloody long trip there though. its about an hour journey to the london train station, and then a 2 hour train ride to liverpool. followed by a 15 min bus ride, once you find the bus stop. but stilll, worth it. took about 654065 pictures there, visited the musuem, and..went for the stadium tour! we bascially went through the route that the players go through everytime they're there. we went INSIDE their changing room first. it was extremely extremely simple, but nice. they put up each player's jersey for show, and they even had a little poster on the wall reminding them to 'respect the refree'. haha. but what amused me most was the fact that there was a hairdryer there.
we went out,and then touched the 'this is anfield sign' and then went out to the stands. it was really cool. what the guide did was that he played this tape of cheering fans and made us walk out to give us a feel of what it's like everytime the players walk out. then, sat down at the bench where benitez and all the substitutes sit and then we moved on to the oh-so-famous kop! soyeah.that was the end of the tour. but still, once in a lifetime!!!! ran down to the gift shop. bought a buncha stuff, and then at ran off. at 4.50, we were still buying our stuff when our train was leaving the liverpool station at 5.15 to go back to london. took a cab and ran like idiots. just 1 minute after getting on, the train moves, thank GOD! so we got back in one piece. :)
22nd dec (friday) - train system was screwed up cuz of the fog. but my navigation-pro brother still managed to find ways for us to reach our destinations. went to ealing broadway first, then oxford street, followed by ealing broadway again where kiran and his first subway sandwich! basically did all the shopping and bought souvenirs for SOME people!! i'm so nice to all of you..
23rd dec (saturday) - packed our stuff up, had lunch, left the house. flight was at 6.15pm but we were there by 3 plus. super super long que to go through security check (where i had to take off my boots TWICE!) returned to home sweet home on the 24th at 4 something.
so that was an amazingly fun trip. i'm missin london already!
