alrighty... FORT MINOR CONCERT (part 2)
so. after all that. angelina and i headed INTO the concert place. they didn't check us or anything, so meenal happily walked in with both her and jenny's cameras hidden in her pockets. thanks to my brother's tall genes, we managed to spot them (kiran/nisha/jenny/milky)reasonably quickly. joined them. showed them the pics we took. some how or rather the camera travelled all the way to the other side of the stadium, so half the world saw the pics, and started givin us wierd looks. (heh heh..)we were just standing around for sometime. i swear we were makin sooo much noise..oh yes. and some idiotic woman just COULD NOT put her bra strap properly.. we girls were totally preventing ourselves from helpin her fix that problem.
so, concert started off with cheapshot (the DJ) playin a buncha dancey stuff. wasn't too bad. then FINALLY at 8+++++ the rest of fm came out. started off with 'Remember the Name'..(or 'Remember MY name, as milky likes to call it)it was really cool lah. Followed by "it's goin down' and then 'in the end'(reani).oh yeah! they also played 'dolla'. kiran and i felt SO GOOD cuz we were the only ones who knew all the words to this song. (it isn't even on the CD, so pple were wondering how we knew the words all)
Next came 'In stereo'. i think. haha. he made us do the 'OHHH!' part of the song, so that was fun.oh yeah! and the 'mr brown' song by SOB. another song i knew! he introduced SOB (styles of beyond), beat!down (the drummer) the back up singers.. (one of whose names is VICTOR!!) and the violinists (they're called black violin). It was nice that he (mike) gave each of them time to do a little solo thing. black violin did this really cool mix of songs.. (Yeah + get it poppin+pimpin all over the world etc etc) all on the violin!!!
One of the songs they played was 'Where'd you go'. The original singer in the song couldn't make it, so they got one of the Singapore idol finalists ( that jessie theodore woman) to take her place. but the poor woman couldn't be heard at all. not only cuz of the poor sound system there (seriously.. it SUCKED!) but also cuz the rest of the fans were singin along. so yeah. all i heard was both mine and everyone else's terrible singing, along with the song. but, mike seemed to like that alot... so who cares.
OMG! HOW COULD I FORGET TO MENTION THIS?!after the first few songs, Mike took a bottle of water, sprayed half the water at the crowd, drank a bit of water, then crushed the bottle, and tossed it into the crowd. guess who caught it???
Yup! M-O-I!!!
haha. AND there was a BIT of water left! so, i happily drank some of the water inside. the way angelina puts it, ' i drank mike shinoda's saliva, since we drank from the same bottle' haha. how crude. oh well. yes. i was hanging onto the thing for SO LONG! refused to let anyone take it away from me! prized possesion all..
other songs played were 'feel like home' and 'cigarettes'. oh man.. one of my fav tracks! -> cigarettes. but, they decided to do something different, so, they rapped half the song to just the beat of the song. it was a real pity. cuz i love the violin in the song, and i was hopin to hear it live.
and then.. came "PETRIFIED!" haha. i got to hear my fav part live!! 'you really wanna hold me, show me, HOMIE!'. the song was great..and then when it ended, all of them suddenly said thank you and just walked off the stage. we were all like..'what in the world?' but i didn't believe they were really finished, and i was right!
a few minutes later, they come bouncing back in singing 'numb encore' (just the chorus). it was quite cool the way mike changed it. instead of 'so for one last time, i need ya'll to ROAR' he changed it to 'so for one last time, SINGAPORE!!'. it went really well!
He then went on to play 'High Road'!! beautiful beautiful song. OH YES! ' Red to black' came after that. I got really excited while queing for the M&G cuz, i could hear them rehearsing red to black. but i finally got to actually hear it live! oh yes.. ' there they go' also came out..
last song.. 'Believe me'. and guess what happens? my brother and milky decide to lift me up into the air! such malu-nesss?????!?!? that meant that half the world's vision of the stage was blocked by me!(and my big butt). after a matter of seconds, i couldn't tahan.. so i was like, 'KIRAN! LET ME DOWN!'. oh well. it was an experience. how many people can say they've been lifted up at a concert?
so, i was really hyped lah! oh ya. stupid bro and sis didn't take my advice. i told them to just bring along pen and paper, cuz i had this suspicion that they would come down to the stands, to sign a few autographs. i was right! but of course.. no paper to sign on.*sigh* oh well.
saw andrea. she got all crazy when she saw me (and mike's waterbottle) went to collect bags. then took a bus to suntec. nearly missed the stop. it was quite funny. my sister suddenly said, 'omg. guys. this IS suntec. we're supposed to stop here!' so milky starts searching for the bus bell (which was right next to him mind you' but he couldn't find it! so, some complete stranger had to ring the bell for us. haha. funny stuff.
got to suntec.and had a late dinner at macs. so, it was the three srinivasans + milky + jenny + angelina. took a couple of pictures. stayed there till so late, that the macs auntys came out to eat all. took more pics with that pervertic Ronald McDonald. then walked out to take a cab home.
so, when i got back home, here's what i had.
-The jacket sleeve of my FM cd (signed by all 5)
-a crushed up waterbottle (i'm tryin my best to keep it in this state)
-A black FM shirt.
-A Mike Shinoda tag thing. (no idea why.)
-And a whole buncha unforgettable memories.
*sigh* i'm so sad it's over. oh well. now at least i can die in peace.....

OK WORLD! MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE!!
Here's why..
Not only did i attend the Fort Minor Concert today (which kinda make up for me not going for the Linkin Park Concert) I, KEISHA NAMEERA SRINIVASAN MET THE GUY I"VE BEEN IN LOVE WITH FOR THE PAST I DON"T KNOW HOW MANY YEARS...
YES! I MET MICHAEL KENJI SHINODA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hahha. okay. here goes... came back, showered, met angelina at tp interchange at 4.15. reached Kallang at 5.40ish. at around 6.15, lourdes n i headed to the back to que for the meet and greet session. took lotsa pics of the wheel we were staring at.. and finally entered the place at like 7.00 or so. but, those fellers only came in at like 7.45ish!!!!! *sigh*
worth it anyway. this was the order they were sitting in.. Beatdown; Tak; MIKE!!!!!; Ryu; Cheapshot..they were all really nice ( but quite soft & quiet). Tak was really nice... asked me how i was and all. oh ya. while i was takin pic with tak, that mike just takes my cd sleeve and signs it.. and, the problem was, that beatdown and tak signed in the INSIDE of the book. so, mike got kinda confused and was like, 'so, am i to sign on the inside or outside?' hahha... that was like about all the convo we had. heheh.. took a pic with him *sighhh* but i just had to spoil the photo with my ugly face.
next was ryu. initially he didn't seem THAT friendly, but when i came to the photo, he was so sweet!! he put his arm around me all... Cheapshot too!! Overall, all of them are really nice. but we got chased out very quick. so sad. oh well. the photos are depressing, but at least the memories were quite good.. i think. most DEFINITLY once in a lifetime! This happiness SERIOUSLY beats what i felt when i got my 9 points in my o level. how extreme is that???
okok. i think i have to go sleep now. gotta wake up in 4 hours time to go to school. will come back tomorrow, and say what happpened DURING the concert. oh man. i hope i remember..... ahh!
